Abstract
The naval and the maritime-fishing sectors are some of the most important ones, particularly in Galicia, where a great number of workers carry out their activities due to the size of the sector. This sector is regulated by many specific rules that differ in many aspects from common labour law and Social Security norms. Those rules are frequently subject to specific study in many doctrinal manuals and even universities study plans. This article seeks to provide a general overview of the sector from a legal point of view in order to facilitate a broad approach to this matter under the perspective of Social Security
