Resumo
This paper aims to be the first detailed study on the Quinta dos Lagos in Sintra. This work has been neglected by the critical literature, therefore, there are hardly any few and brief bibliographical references in Portuguese language. Around the year 1907, Fernando Formigal de Morais entrusts the architect Francisco Carlos Parente with the construction of this mansion. The work will be part of a new architectonic traditionalist trend exalting lusitanian soul, which will be developed in Sintra´s geographic area between the 1890s and 1910s.
