Resumo

In recent decades, urban centers have been affected by processes ranging from abandonment and subsequent occupation, to gentrification, segregation and, more recently, touristification. All of them are a consequence of changes in demand, municipal policies, actions of the private sector and even trends; and have caused numerous changes. However, none of these phenomena affects all areas or the entire population with the same intensity, which present different adaptation and vulnerability capacities, understood as greater exposure to a risk or threat. In this article we will carry out a bibliographic review around two terms: social vulnerability and touristification of urban centers. Both, independently, accumulate numerous publications in which their causes are established, how they are manifested in certain spaces and even indicators for their measurement; However, there are few publications that combine them. This research aims to know how current society responds to tourist pressure, while defining and characterizing the processes of substitution of uses and vulnerable inhabitants
