Abstract
This article shows that the archaeological remains of the chapel of San Guillermo in Finisterre (Galicia. Spain) are orientated to the rising of the sun at a critical time of the year, the equinox. Therefore, the beams of light projected into the chapel illuminated its inner cavity under a large rock. Some folkloric and historical aspects of this chapel are also mentioned.
