Abstract
In this work we study the association between two (non-cardinal) discrete random variables defining a new measure of association which is based on the speed of convergence of the vector of probability corresponding to the Markov chain associated to the joint probability distribution of the studied variables. We pay particular attention to the sampling study and to the properties of the corresponding estimators. Their asymptotic distributions under multinomial sampling and independent multinomial sampling in the rows are computed.
