Zusammenfassung

The European Court of Justice answers to two questions for a preliminary ruling on the transparency requirement set forth in Directives 2003/54/EC (Electricity Directive) and 2003/55/EC (Gas Directive), in relation to the universal service obligation that States must guarantee in favor of vulnerable customers, the adjustment of prices which can be decided by the suppliers of that service, and the customers’ right to termination in the event of a variation regarding the contractual conditions.
