Abstract

[Pollen analysis of the coastal Holocene peat bog Las Dueñas (Cudillero, Asturias, Spain)]. It had been carried out the palynological study of Las Dueñas peat bog (Cudillero, Asturias, Spain), whose chronology (based on three 14C data) spands from the Early Holocene to subrecent time. The dynamics of its vegetation, from the pollen diagram, can be correlated with the first signs of human activity. The palaeoclimatic interpretation the Las Dueñas pollen diagram is based on the observed changes in the pollen curves of Alnus, Castanea, Fagus, Pinus pinaster, Quercus ilex-coccifera tipo and Q. suber. These arboreal taxa are regarded as main climate and/or anthropic indicator taxa.
