Resumen

Analizamos las diferentes etapas de la evolución del PIB por habitante, en el período 1950-2002, del conjunto de 5 países de Europa Central incorporados a la UE en la ampliación del año 2004 (Polonia, Hungría, República Checa, Eslovaquia y Eslovenia), y comparamos esta evolución con la de 3 países de la UE1 (Irlanda, España y Austria). Presentamos la estimación de un modelo econométricos que tienen en cuenta el impacto de la industria y el comercio exterior sobre el desarrollo de los sectores no industriales y analizamos las perspectivas económicas de estos países.
