Abstract
The aim of this paper is to approximate the spatial and temporal behavior of thermal stress in Galicia by applying the bioclimatic index PET (Physiological Equivalent Temperature) and the RayMan model. The calculation of PET was performed from the daily data of maximum temperature, humidity, wind, sunlight, radiation and cloud cover for the period 2006-2010. Through a geostatistical model we have obtained varied bioclimatic cartography which we summarize in a single map that identifies areas with higher risk of cold and heat thermal stress.
