Zusammenfassung

After the Civil War, in Spain a situation of poverty and isolation is created. Given this, the New Regime implemented measures to exploit natural resources, including the construction of hydroelectric dams. Thus in the forties began the exploitation of the basin of the Miño-Sil with the creation of dams, which flooded large areas and caused a serious social upheaval. One of the most affected points was the population of Portomarín and its medieval heritage.
