Abstract

The scientific community recommends the inclusion of first aid contents in the scholar curricula. The inclusion in the scholar curricula would increase the number of people able to act in an emergency. For these reasons, this work pretends to set out an intervention proposal for the learning of first aid in childhood education, considering that in this first period, kids stablish the principles of their knowledge, ideas and future behaviour. Since the teaching in these ages should be as global as possible, first aid will be connected to psychomotricity. The present proposal contains nine seasons designed within the national and Galician legal framework. The main contents are the emergencies, the chain of survival, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, recovery position and defibrillator. The eighth season, with the popular “Game of Goose”, children would practice all the skills and knowledge learnt in the previous seasons. The last season would be the evaluation, where the NICT take a crucial role.
