Abstract
We study the changes of the corneal curvature after the selective extraction of suture in the cataracts postoperatory. This extraction was realized in the axis of most curvature between the 6th and the 8th week, always in cases of corneal incision with interrupted suture of Nylon 10/0. Our results permit us conclude: 1) the retirement of a stitch of suture reduces astigmatism to approximately 3 dioptries, 2) the change is observed immediately, 3) the axis of astigmatism, hardly varies, 4) there are hardly no modifications in the spheric equivalent of the dioptric power of the cornea.
