Resumen
We study 18 patients that presents a melanoma of choroid with higher diameters between 9 and 20 mm., and a higher elevation between 7 and 17 mm. respectively. We apply plaques of Cobalt 60 of 10 and 15 mm. Of diameter, programming radiation doses between 6.000 and 12.000 rads. The follow up period of the patients is between 10 months and five years and a half. We evaluate the regression of the tumoral mass through echographia and ophthalmoscopia, complications, the control of the possible appearance of metastasis and time of survival. In the cases after enucleation we study the histological type as well as the radiation effects on the structure of the tumor.
