Abstract

100 penetrating keratoplasties are studied during a period of 1 to 7 years follow-up. Asuming risk factors, immunologic graft reaction occurs in 21 % of the low risk and in 73% of the high risk cases (overall 39%). Our results also demonstrated a latter onset in the high risk patients with a worse response to therapy. We could not find significant difference between diameters of 7.5 or 8.5 mm. for either of the two groups.
