Resumo
In the search for sustainable economic growth, bio refineries, where different types of biomass are used for the production of fuels, chemicals and materials, have emerged as a potential alternative to oil refineries. The challenge is to develop energy-efficient bio refineries, in which environmentally acceptable products are created through processes with zero waste, which progressively replace those currently produced from petroleum.
