The studies of violence in dating relationships relate personal and social factors as the main responsible for the existence of these behaviors in affective interpersonal relationship. However, little has been studied about religious beliefs on the likelihood of abuse in the family and the relationships established with other peers who have also experienced aggressive behavior by their partners. The aim of this study is to establish the prevalence of different types of abuse in a sample of young Spaniards of both sexes, aged between 15 and 26 years, taking into account their degree of religiosity, belief in the existence of abuse between boyfriends and tenure friendships with your partner abuse and to determine the influence of each of these variables in the victimization of each type of abuse. All youth were spent Questionnaire instrument Dating Violence (CUVINO), allowing us to determine the frequency of behaviors that reflect situations of abuse and religious beliefs that manifest. The results, analyzed using Students t and binary logistic regression, show that some religious young people, who have friends who have suffered domestic violence and/or consider possible existence of abuse among grooms are more likely to suffer abuse in their dating relationships. Possible explanations for the findings and implications for intervention are discussed
