Abstract
The role of anger in aberrant driving behaviour. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the level of anger experienced by drivers and their aberrant driving behaviours. We have conducted a survey of 163 college students with driver's license who completed two questionnaires, one related to the Trait and Expression of anger (STAXI-2) and another to driving behaviour (DBQ). Results indicate that high anger levels are related to increased involvement of drivers in interpersonal violations and road traffic violations. These results have important implications in the design of prevention and intervention programs in the field of road safety.
