Resumo

In this article we present records of 87 species of caddisflies (Insecta: Trichoptera) collected in Ancares, Courel and Invernadeiro (Eastern mountains of Galicia). The fauna of Sierra do Invernadeiro has been studied for the first time, so the 61 species listed here are new citations for this region. One of them, Limnephilus bipunctatus Curtis, 1834, is also a new record for Galicia and twelve species are new records for the Orense province. Additionally, some species are listed for the first time to the inventory of Ancares and Courel. Results of a brief biogeographical comparative analysis highlight the high percentage of endemic species (50%) of these mountains and the great richness and similarity of their faunas.
