Abstract
The present paper delvers and extends the distribution and biological data of seven Simuliidae species that have been identified by examining the material collected in several rivers in the northwestern area of the Iberian Peninsula: Anllóns, Eo, Lérez, Mandaean, Masma, Mera, Ouro, Pereira, Ulla, Umia and Sar. Five of these species, Simulium (Eusimulium) angustipes, Simulium (Simulium) reptans, Simulium (Simulium) montícola, Simulium (Wilhelmia) equinum and Simulium (Wilhelmia) lineatum are new records for Galicia
