Resumo

The yield and nutritive valué of a Serradella culture was studied at different dates and maturity stages, by cutting at regular interval of 15 days from the vegetative growth to mature legumes stage. A dry matter yield of 3,8 t/ha at first and 6,7 /ha at the last cut was obtained. The DOM decreased from 83% to 57% in an inverse correlation with the FAD from 20,5% to 43,9%. The crude protein (CP) drop from 17,4% to 9,6% at last cut (mature legumes). An acceptable nutritive valué was mantained in the forage up to the inmature legume stage, so the cutting date must be decided according with the yield data.
