Resumo
The present study examines the damping capacity of peri-implant bone tissues by means of the Periotest device, in a sample of 109 endosseous implants (1995-1997) placed in 36 patients (15 males and 21 females). Some of the factors which may influence in the Periotest values are analized (maxillary placement, surgical technique used to create the implant recipient site and the application, when needed, of the demineralized human bone allografts.
