Abstract

This article, the first of a two-part series, describes a clinical procedure for restoration of severely damaged pulpless teeth at a single appointment One-appointment restoration is possible thanks to the use of modern materials that permit the post-and-core to be cast from the pattern in only half an hour. This procedure is applicable in routine clinical situations in which acceptable abutments are present; the second article in the series will consider more complicated clinical situations.
