Abstract

Surgical techniques as bone grafts, sinus lift and mandibular nerve transposition have promote the use of dental implants in places where it was notable befare. Similarly, osteogenesis by means osteodistractors brings new solutions to orthodontic, orthognatic and pre-prosthetic problems. Here we are reporting a case of a dental implant located so far apically and repositioned using a osteodistractor. The advantages and disadvantages of this new technique versus other alternatives are also discussed.
