Resumo

La determinación de drogas de abuso en pelo es hoy en día una técnica habitual implantada en los laboratorios de toxicología forense que siguen las recomendaciones propuestas por la Society of Hair Testing en el año 2004. Es una muestra biológica alternativa de fácil recogida, difícil adulteración, que no necesita condiciones especiales de conservación y, además, permite demostrar consumos anteriores a la toma de muestra. Es por ello que sus aplicaciones son cada día numerosas, incluida la posibilidad de determinación de marcadores de consumo crónico de alcohol etílico. No obstante, los métodos analíticos no están aún estandarizados por lo que ha de realizarse una correcta interpretación de resultados y tener en cuenta las limitaciones que esta muestra biológica presenta.
