Zusammenfassung

In The Origin of Species (1859) and The Descent of Man (1871) there are some ideas that show what Darwin thought about «Taste» and «Sense of beauty». Contrary to what could be expected, from his reflections we can infer that neither the one nor the other are «innate» or «unchanging». Moreover, Darwin suggests that the new taste showed by a generation can result in «speciation». This Lamarckian approach is applied to both animals and humans, and it calls into question many of the claims made by the followers of the «Evolutionary Aesthetics».
