Resumo

El propósito de esta investigación es estudiar la influencia ejercida por el recurso estratégico reputación, como fuente de ventaja competitiva, en el rendimiento sostenible de las pymes. Para ello se utiliza como marco conceptual la perspectiva de los recursos de la empresa, en la que se postula que los intangibles son factores con capacidad para tratar de explicar la variabilidad del rendimiento empresarial en un conjunto de empresas. A través de un modelo teórico que se contrasta mediante análisis de ecuaciones estructurales se observa una relación positiva y significativa entre la reputación y el rendimiento sostenible en pymes. Estos resultados son del mismo signo que los obtenidos por otros autores para grandes empresas.
