Resumo
The qualitative and quantitative pollen analysis of a peat bog located in the northern mountains of Galicia was made. From the date C14 5.490±90 B.P. on register the progressive degradation of forest (principally Quercus and Corylus) and the development of pasture and shrub formations. On the basis of the regional pollen chronology for Fagus, Castanea and Juglans and the constant representation of cereal pollen, a paleobotanical interpretation and the chronological hypothesis for the rest of the sequence are proposed.
