Abstract
The specific research of the pro-Franco repression against women has been not treated systematically in Galicia. This research aims to contribute to rectify this lack and complete the view of the repressive process in Lugo province. In this sense, it revealed the ambivalence of the regime at the moment of interpreting the activities of women as a part of the resistance, minimizing or maximizing them in terms of the degree of autonomy attributed to women in these activities. It also demonstrated the interference, in the judicial punishment to women, of elements outside of the summary and the interested selection of the facts at the moment of basing the judgments.
