Abstract
The internationalisation, globalisation and regionalisation of higher education have become an important phenomenon over the past two decades. However, the international projection of the higher education systems varies between different countries. This paper pays attention to all these concepts and it's divided into two parts clearly differenciated. The first part shows as the development of internationalization of higher education systems is linked with both its bigger globalization and regionalization. These links are demonstrated in the second part through the comparative study of the flows of international students of OECD countries, using cluster analysis
