Un estudio sobre la negación en el niño

Resumen

Con este artículo intentamos estudiar la función de la negación en el lenguaje infantil, y hacemos una crítica del estudio realizado por Antinucci y Volterra. Se ha grabado el lenguaje espontáneo de treinta niños con edades comprendidas entre 1,0 y 3,0, durante cuatro sesiones de treinta minutos para cada uno. Se han analizado y clasificado en cinco grupos todas las expresiones negativas atendiendo a la particular situación del hablante (presuposiciones incluídas) y a los efectos sobre el oyente. Se concluye que las expresiones negativas del niño tienen un valor plurifuncional: el niño las usa para controlar una acción, corregir una información y expresar una emoción. Esta plurifuncionalidad la va adquiriendo en el contacto con la comunidad verbal de la que forma parte.
