Resumo

This paper describes with detail the origins and development of the program ¿Construyendo Salud: Promoción del desarrollo personal y social¿ (¿Building your health: Promotion of personal and social development¿). This program derives from an adaptation and enlargement of one of the prevention programs with best design and evaluation results in the North American context: ¿Life Skill Training¿, developed in Cornell University, New York. ¿Construyendo salud¿ is being implemented in schools located in different autonomous communities in Spain. One of its main objectives is to provide youth people with skills to resist the social influences which promote antisocial behaviours and drug consumption.
