Abstract
During the last decade, various studies that estimate the impact of public capital on private sector productivity in Spain have been published. Specially when the studies include in-frastructure series, have estimated a higher elasticity for public capital which have generated doubts on the robustness of the values estimated and the implications of economic policy. In this paper, we analyse the different result and shown new estimations using different specifica-tions, series of public capital and estimation methods. The results confirm the substantial effect of public capital. However, they suggest that the effect is not so important as we think and even it would less if we incorporate other variables correlate with private productiv
