Abstract
The Balouta valley has been studied in previous works by LLOPIS LLADO (1954) and PÉREz ALBERTI ET AL., (1993. The latter mention the pressence of glacigenic materials near Munias village, at 780 m of altitude, marking the Pleistocene glacial maximum in the valley The occurrence of new deposits and the progress in the knowledge of Pleistocene glaciarism in northwestern Iberian Peninsula, allows to extent the vision of the former author, that studied the area. In this paper we had mapped the forms and deposits in Balouta valley, reconstructing the glacier dynamics based on geomorphological data. We also appoint some methodological aspects, looking for a better conceptualizationof problems regarding to Iiberian glaciarism and periglaciarism.
