Abstract
We investigated the influence of type of image evoked (normal or bizarre), between-image interaction and subject's image-forming capacity on the imagery vividness of matched pairs of words. The results of the present study indicate that bizarre images are no more vivid than normal images, whether long (32-pair) word lists or short (16-pair) word lists are used. However, between-image interaction and the subject's image-forming capacity both had significant effects, regardless of word-list length. Analysis of variance indicated a significant interaction between the variables image type and between-image interaction
