Abstract

In the last decades, macromolecules that adopt a specific helical conformation have attracted the interest of scientific community due to their potential applications in different fields such as separation of enantiomers, sensors and asymmetric catalysis. This thesis entitled “Helical polymers: a rational design” is focused on the preparation of new helical polymers with specific helical conformations and targeted functions, the expansion of new protocols to elucidate and characterize the helical structures, the nanostructuration and the elaboration of new chiral communication phenomena in PPAs.
