Resumo

La de Terry Eagleton es una de las contribuciones más relevantes que se han hecho sobre las problemáticas más candentes de finales del siglo XX y principios del XXI. Formidable polemista, ha cuestionado los discursos hegemónicos sobre el relativismo, la verdad y los universales. Ha abordado las cuestiones medulares de las humanidades: el orden social y moral, la ley y el deseo, el tiempo y la historia, el problema mente-cuerpo, el sujeto, la experiencia, la libertad, la violencia y el amor. Ha conseguido poner en relación dialéctica el marxismo, el psicoanálisis, el existencialismo y el pensamiento cristiano.
