Abstract

With this research we aim to know how education inspectors learn from the perspective of learning ecologies, so that we can glimpse into their current training landscape by detecting their possible needs and shortcomings. For this purpose, the approach chosen was a mixed two-phase approach. In the first phase, of a qualitative nature, the methodological strategy used was a case study, through semi-structured interviews with two male inspectors and one female inspector. For the second phase, of a quantitative nature, a questionnaire was prepared ad hoc bringing together a total of seven scales. It was completed by 44 inspectors who carry out their work in Galicia. The results show that inspectors have a high capacity to guide their learning; that the source of their motivations is mostly intrinsic and emphasize the relevance of ICT for their training.
