Abstract

Domingo Fontán Rodríguez, professor of sublime mathematics at the University of Santiago de Compostela and author of the Geometric Chart of Galicia, is one of the historical personalities of the 19th century in Galicia who has dedicated to science and the economic development of their land. Although relevant biographies and works have already been written on his figure, this article aims to deepen the recognition that he had in the capital of the Court and also outside the Spanish borders
