Resumo
The results of work carried out at the Prioryof the Collegiate Church of Santa María inXunqueira de Ambía are presented, followingits recent restoration. The studies carried outwere based on analysing historical andbibliographic documentation, archaeologicalcontrol of earthmoving work, and thestratigraphic reading of elevations. Based onthis information, it has been possible todefine the constructional evolution of thebuilding, reinterpret its function and opennew inroads into explaining its spatial andfunctional evolution, as well as to describe aseries of features relating to the inscriptionsdocumented in the building.
