Resumo

The data we have used in this paper form part of a wider and comprehensive research work that deals with the education and professional development of in-service teachers. The study has been partially focused on the overall variety of TEd modalities. The general purpose of the study has been to bring out and analyse Galician teachers and assessor's perspectives on TEd modalities. The empirical process of this study has been developed along two different phases. The first one, wiht a quantitative character, has been an extensive research toll. The second one has been an intensive phase, also with a qualitative character in which we have decided to use a deep gropu interview as the main tool for gathering research data. In this paper, we mainly focused our attention on cuantitativ findings, although, in some cases, coincidences and discrepances with the findings from cualitative phase, are also mentioned.
