Abstract

Empirical studies on subjective well-being focus on concepts such as happiness and life satisfaction, by analyzing macro or micro data from regions or countries. This thesis aims to study subjective well-being in companies, because of its potential for building competitive advantage and the absence of such studies in business scope. In addition, it is proposed a new approach to subjective well-being including job satisfaction. The results show that trust relationship between co-workers, as well as trust in the company, in others and in the family is positively related to personal happiness and job satisfaction.
